From developer Helena Creative Studio comes brand new indie game, Moth Kubit. The game was recently highlighted in the August Nintendo Indie World Showcase, and I immediately fell in love. It is high on my games to look forward to in 2025, and if you’re reading this article that means you’re interested too. But most importantly, you’re curious about when is the Moth Kubit release date. Well unfortunately, we are still a little ways off from a potential release.
Moth Kubit Release Date
Moth Kubit is scheduled for release in Spring 2025. This puts us at about a six month wait minimum. Fortunately, there are plenty of other new releases coming out in the meantime, so it’s not like we won’t have games to play. At the end of 2024 our Indie Gaming Cup truly runneth over. If you are still on the fence, or just don’t know about Moth Kubit, the rest of the article will give a brief summary of the game.
What is Moth Kubit?
Moth Kubit is a surreal RPG where you play as protagonist, Moth Kubit. However, after receiving a promotion Moth finds himself involved in a conspiracy called “The Final Process”. It’s up to you to investigate the “Final Process” and hopefully solve the mystery that threatens the world.
In addition to solving the mystery, you will also interact with your coworkers to explore the story. However this is not your typical text box interactions. Moth Kubit boasts a unique combat system called “Love Sick Disorder”, or LSD for short. The game also promises branching dialogue, so you will need to play multiple times to see everything. Furthermore, if you like minigames, this game has them in spades! Another primary way to advance the story and interact with your coworkers is through a wide variety of minigames.
Moth Kubit Release Date Finale
Moth Kubit has the potential to be one weird, but very fun game. If you’re a fan of Undertale, WarioWare, or corporate meta humor, you owe it to yourself to check this one out. You can watch the official trailer from Astrolabe games on YouTube.
